Today, the development of a plastic part is completed in much shorter cycles than a few years ago – this is well known and you feel it every day. As a result, some proven and helpful technologies are no longer used, and new technologies are not used because there is no time to familiarize them. The result is decreasing development quality, which is to be permanently rectified in downstream correction loops.

The question of the guidelines used for development is often described as “similarity to other products” in addition to the usual CAD methods. This certainly harbours the risk of always making the same mistakes or continually leaving optimization potential unused.
